Guitar Pedals – EQ (Equalization) Effects
February 7, 2010
"EQ" stands for the compensation and refers to verify the presence of different frequencies in your guitar signal. If you use a stereo system or even an iPod to listen to your music, you have probably used a "EQ" levels of control, high and low. There are two basic types of EQ pedals, you can use with your guitar:
Graphic Equalizer
Graphic equalizer is used, the most common type of EQ for guitarists. Increases or decreasescertain frequencies more handles (bands) or down.Normally to cover these bands in the range from about 20 Hz) at 20 kHz (for example the number of human ear. guitarists use some compensatory effects drastically change the configuration of the signal to a desirable "" signature sound effect. players in metal as their distinctive sound to eliminate or reduce the scope of any midrange.
You can also reduce the graphic equalizercertain frequencies that cause feedback problems. It is in a certain area, certain frequencies will be emphasized, for the course of more than others. Equalization is used to these differences in frequency counter. You can also use the graphic equalizer for some issues to reduce the frequency of feedback. On the other hand, you can use the graphic equalizer to promote certain frequencies to produce a feedback, if this is what you want.
Graphic EQ in different sizes – anywhere5-31 bands, bands. It is better to have only the frequencies that you want to access, because bands are increasingly expensive and can cause more noise.
Parametric Equalizer
The parametric equalizer gives more control over the tone of a graphic equalizer, but it is difficult to operate. It's called "parametric" because the inspections are to have the parameters of a tone. These parameters are "frequency" (as in the spectrum, which is controlled by the graphicsEQ), "gang" (the number of octaves over which the signal is changed) and "win" (the amount that amplifies the signal, or reduced). Parametric equalizer can be used to bring the noise like the sound of a guitar or remove the fingers of a sinister sound.
